We offer this tour to those who would like to get to know one of the most beautiful parts of Poland with something active happening on everyday of the tour. This program offers two days of hiking in the mountains and three days of cycling with views of the highest Polish mountain range-

 the Tatra Mountains,  along the Czorsztyńskie lake and Dunajec river in the Podhale region. Additionally, you will get to know two historically and culturally rich regions and taste Polish cuisine with its unique regional dishes.

Trip itinerary

DAY I

Visit or chill in Krakow

Arrival to Krakow airport. Meeting with local guides and transfer to Krakow city center, check in at the apartments/hotel and welcome dinner. Depending on the arrival time, free time in Krakow or short city visit. Overnight in Krakow.

DAY II

Bike with panorama of the Tatra Mountains

Private transfer to the mountains to begin cycling adventure. Most of the 45km route runs along an easy cycle path built on a railway embankment, leading through beautiful landscapes of Polish villages with a view of the entire Tatra Mountain range. In Chochołów stop to visit an original XVIII and XIXc. huts where people still live to this day and then continue cycling with several easy climbs, from which there is a view of the Tatra Mountains on one side and the Babia Góra range on the other. After the transfer to the guesthouse the day ends with a traditional homemade dinner.

DAY III

Easy warm-up hike in the mountain valley

Day of exploring the longest and largest of the Tatra valleys – the Chochołowska Valley. A 6-kilometer route with a moderate incline leads to the mountain shelter – this section can be covered by bike or on foot.  In the evening, free time to explore Zakopane and some of its unique museums about history of this region. Finish the day with a local dinner accompanied by traditional highlanders music

DAY IV

Hiking work-out to reach some mountain peaks

Today has a choice of two hiking programs in the Tatra Mountains, depending on the weather and your desires and wishes. The more demanding version involves a full-day (approx. 9 hours) trek with a guide of moderate difficulty to the Dolina Pięciu Stawów. Then descend to Morskie Oko and return along the asphalt to Polana Palenica.

A lighter version is a trip by cable car to Kasprowy Wierch and from there a guided trip to a mountain pass – Przełęcz Karb, descent to Czarny Staw Gąsienicowy and then to the mountain shelter on Hala Gąsienicowa. After a short break in the shelter, return through valley to be picked-up by the leader. Finish the day around the bonfire with traditional Polish sausage, mountain cheese and vegetables.

DAY V

Bike around Czorsztyńskie Lake, castles and churches

Bicycle 45 km trip around Czorsztyńskie Lake preceded by 45-minutes private transfer to Dębno with the visit of a Gothic church from the 15th century, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The rest of the bicycle route leads to the shore of Lake Czorsztyńskie with a view of Trzy Korony in the Pieniny National Park, castles in Niedzica and Czorsztyn and the Tatra Mountains in the distance. The whole region is called Spiš – an ethnographically unique part of Poland with brick churches, unique highlander traditions as a result of the influence of mixing Slovak, Hungarian and Polish cultures. In Niedzica, a short break for lunch and a ferry crossing to the other side of the lake to Czorsztyn, from where the trip continues along an easy bike path back to Dębno. On the way back to Zakopane, those interested will go to relax in the  thermal baths. Come back to the guesthouse for another homemade delicious dinner.

DAY VI

Explore the Velo Dunajec cycle route

Last part of the trip leads through theVelo Dunajec route, considered one of the most beautiful cycle routes in Poland. The path leads through the Dunajec Gorge and along the river to Nowy Sącz. On the way enjoy picnic lunch prepared by the leaders and then continue to visit of the Red Monastery in Slovakia and the spa town of Szczawnica. The 40km route ends in Krościenko nad Dunajcem. Back to the guesthouse stopping on the way in local “karczma” (inn) to taste another unique Polish dishes. 

DAY VII

Transfer to the airport

Breakfast at the guesthouse, depending on the departure flight, free time in Zakopane or transfer to the airport. Flight home.
